​What is a Life Coach?

The main job of a life coach is to help people find their own goals, which may include career planning, financial planning, emotional issues, or family problems, physical problems, and can provide assistance in all aspects of life. Once the client's goals are found, the life coach will help formulate a strategy, and then encourage and accompany them all the way until the goals are achieved.

What is the process for a coaching session?

Most of my clients are busy in work and life, so most of my sessions are conducted through Google Meet video conferencing or Line | Whatsapp | WeChat voice calls, so that my clients can stay in a comfortable and private places, such as their own homes. It's also a way to save time on travelling. Typically, I will start by understanding your current situation, problems, and your desired goals. We will work together to define your purpose of life, values, and goals in different aspects. We'll also identify life's major obstacles, common frustrations, and areas where you tend to get stuck. At the end of each session, subsequent steps (homework) or to-do items (To-Do) will be discussed, which can more substantively assist you in making progress in each coaching session. Most sessions will last 45 to 60 minutes. All information will be kept 100% confidential and I will never disclose it to anyone working with you unless I obtain your confirmation and permission. At the end of all coaching sessions, we will also review progress together and identify how you can better utilize what you have learned in your life.

What makes Kelly different from other life coaches?

My coaching framework is based on my own experience in life and career, including my professional corporate background in product development and management, marketing planning, and business development in different technology industries; and as well as my ICF coaching course training and the study of psychology. Is there any difference between life coaching and career coaching ?

How long is a coaching session, and how many sessions I need to be effective?

The length and effectiveness of a coaching session will vary from person to person, depending on the complexity of the individual's needs, goals, and challenges. 1. Consultation time: A coaching consultation usually lasts about 45 minutes to 1 hour. This is a general time frame, but in practice, you can communicate with your coach if longer time or adjustments are needed in different situations. 2. Everyone’s situation is different, so before your coaching session, you could consider: 1. Clarify your goals: Figure out what your goals are for seeking assistance from a coach. Clear goals can help me better understand your needs and provide support needed. 2. Be open-minded: Be prepared to accept new perspectives and suggestions. Life coach is to guide and support, and an open attitude allows you to better benefit from coaching. 3. Self-reflection: Before the coaching session begins, take some time to think about your own values, strengths, challenges, and expectations for life. This facilitates deeper conversations. 4. Questions or List: Make a list of specific questions and concerns you would like to discuss during the consultation. This helps ensure you cover important topics in the limited time you have. 5.
